When our viticulturist first saw this hillside vineyard in sight of San Pablo Bay, he immediately recognized the advantages of the terroir. Here a small berry, low production Pinot Noir could be grown in a very cool region and without the oversized clusters found in many north coast vineyards. He called our winemaker with the exciting find and a commitment was made with the grower.
